A humanoid race suffers from the lack of natural light and warmth for a long time.
To satisfy their needs a small expedition group starts their journey to a planet closer to the sun. By and by the desire becomes obsession. Will exorbitance crow over the will to live? 5800k is an animated short in 3d based on the expressive short-story "Fahrt zum Licht" by Herbert W. Franke. Main aim was to create a unique look apart from clean and sterile perfectionism reflecting the dark and intensive atmosphere of the story. It is our degree dissertation at the university of applied science in Augsburg, Germany in the year 2009. We hope you enjoy... |
